Welcome to Veneto for a trekking holiday on the Asiago Plateau, a group journey through breathtaking landscapes and fascinating history. Different activities will immerse us in majestic nature, among forests and the peaks of Monte Verena and Monte Erio, dear to Mario Rigoni Stern. We will delight in local flavors in malghe and refuges; we will discover ancient graffiti and participate in… the mystical Night of Smuggling.

Day 1
arrival in Asiago and accommodation in hotel.

Day 2
Visit the wild and untamed Val d'Assa, where rock graffiti from various eras await you: in the Iron Age, the Middle Ages and by soldiers of the Great War. In the afternoon you can relax in the hotel or head to the historic centre of Asiago. Why don't you order a typical spritz?
10 km, approximately 4-5 hours of walking including breaks.

Day 3
Set off from Rotzo towards the Altaburg cross, Altar Knotto, also known as the devil's altar, and Alta Kugela. Following ancient paths we head towards the Campolongo fort, a wonderful panoramic viewpoint over the valley. Typical lunch at the refuge.

Day 4
walk through the streets of the centre of Asiago, perhaps for a little shopping or an aperitif in one of the characteristic bars, and a visit to the First World War museum in Canove.
Lunch is provided at the hotel and in the afternoon we can relax: towards evening a magical experience awaits us. The night lights up with mystery with the Night of Smuggling. And if that is not enough, you can continue the evening in a typical highland pub to party with the locals.

Day 5
Easy trek through the picturesque woods at the foot of Mount Verena, frequented by deer, roe deer and chamois. The destination of our excursion will be Malga Pusterle, which enjoys an excellent view of the Plateau's most imposing peaks. It will be an opportunity to discover animal tracks, learn to recognise them, and if we are lucky, spot some wild animals! In the afternoon, stop at at the Roana lake and, to finish, how about a stop at the legendary Gigi's?

Day 6
In the stories of the Cimbrian people, told in front of the fire on long winter evenings, the ogre's cave was always identified with a karstic chasm known as Stonhaus. The trek to Mount Erio will give you a splendid panorama of the entire Asiago Plateau. The day continues by treading the little-used paths towards the Park of Artistic Installations in the SELVART forest. Return to the hotel for dinner.
