Day 1
Meet in Limena around 8:30 am, quick briefing and off we go. The first day's itinerary starts by following the Brenta River, then plunging into the fields of the Venetian plain, along rivers, canals and old railways converted to bicycle paths. No roughness awaits us, and at the right pace we enjoy the landscape, dosing our energy for the afternoon. Arriving in Camposampiero, we will take the direction of Treviso, along the shady cycleway carved out of a decommissioned railroad, we will make a stop to admire the Rotonda, the square of Badoere. We re-enter the bike path near the Cervara wildlife oasis, where the Sile River, born a few miles away, has created a natural park refuge for local and migratory wildlife. Treviso welcomes us, with its elegance and stately palaces reflected in the slow waters of the Sile. The river in this city blends in perfectly: we begin to follow the Greeway a few meters from the city center, a bike path you don't expect, cheerful waters inhabited by hundreds of bird breeds accompany us for miles to Casier, an ancient port where the "Burci," wooden boats that transported raw materials, docked, which we had just before sadly admired abandoned in a bend in the river. Reaching the Lagoon, the landscape changes completely: large valleys open up in front of our eyes along straight white roads, Jesolo awaits us as does the new Pordelio bike path, built cantilevering over the water, which allows us to arrive at Cavallino Tre Porti as the last effort of the day. In the background Venice: we cross the mouth of the harbor by Vaporetto and finally we arrive at our hotel for a proper rest. about 100 km
Day 2
Yesterday's dinner and hearty breakfast have charged us with energy, we must set off again for the second tour! We will cross the lagoon islands, at a leisurely pace we set off with our noses up to admire the hotels and palaces of the film exhibition, not far away the beautiful beach of Lido di Venezia. The narrow tongue of land does not allow us too many digressions, we arrive in Malomocco, a typical Venetian village, where customs and traditions take you back among Venetian calli. After a quick visit we wait for the ferry boat to embark us for Pellestrina, the island of the Fishermen: here you are quickly transported to a completely different dimension, no hotels, no beaches, real life made up of colorful houses, the small vegetable gardens and the fishing boats waiting to go out again. The Murazzi protect the houses from the sea and before boarding yet another vaporetto, we continue pedaling between walls and lagoon to the oasis of Ca' Roman, the extreme edge of the island, a nature area protected by Lipu. Enchanted by the beauty of Pellestrina, we cross the last mouth of the port and disembark in Chioggia, the little Venice, a beautiful and typical fishing town, also home to one of the most important fish markets in Italy. Having found the bank of the Brenta River, we can begin our return by crossing one of the largest agricultural areas in the province of Padua: "la Sacissica." The last part of our route will deviate from the river to visit the last post-war peasant houses, the so-called "casoni" ancient dwellings of peasants typical for their thatched roofs. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for final goodbyes. We conquered our 100 km today as well! Bravo!   about 100 km   N.B. possibility to request an additional overnight stay before or at the end of the 2-day weekend.
