Venice & the Lagoon

Venice is one of the world’s most recognisable destinations. But the Venetian Lagoon and the area around it extend far beyond the historic centre.

Its islands, waterways, fishing communities and wetlands offer different ways to experience the relationship between Venice and the water. Boat experiences, local food, island visits and lagoon-based activities can bring a different perspective to a destination that many travellers already know.

And just outside the city, the landscape becomes surprisingly green. Countryside, woods and quiet waterways create space for cycling away from the crowds and for more immersive experiences such as meditation, forest bathing and time spent in nature.
